Pediatric Feeding Therapy

Pediatric Feeding Therapy 〰️

Who
we are

Hi I’m Jaclyn, pediatric occupational therapist since 2015, specializing in feeding therapy and oral motor coordination. Originally from San Diego, CA, I moved to the Treasure Valley in 2023. I am a military wife and a mom of two boys who keep me busy. I’ve worked in pediatric clinics treating children 0-18 years old, as well as providing in-home therapy for the 0-3 early intervention population.

As a pediatric occupational therapist certified in the SOS Approach to Feeding and Beckman Oral Motor, I combine sensory and oral motor strategies to support children with feeding challenges and developmental delays in a compassionate, child-led way. I believe that feeding is not just about eating — it’s about confidence, regulation, connection, and skill development.

By blending sensory processing strategies with targeted oral motor techniques, I help children build the foundational skills needed for safe, comfortable eating. Weekly home programs will be manageable to fit within your schedule, while attainable to meet your child’s occupational therapy goals. I strive to use minimal materials to keep costs low and use household items over speciality tools when possible.

My goal is to give you the answers and master the confidence to ensure your child maximizes their greatest potential. I enjoy working with all families—-but OT graduation day is my favorite.

Rooted Ranch OT offers in home and virtual occupational therapy services. This includes occupational therapy evaluations, treatment sessions, and a free consult call to learn more about our approach.

We work directly with families in Idaho or California, who have a child experiencing difficulties with eating, drinking, or tolerating foods.

If you reside within the Treasure Valley, families have the opportunity for in home occupational therapy services. Virtual evaluations and interventions are primarily offered to families within the state of Idaho or California.

Our goal is discharge, providing parent education and feeding strategies so progress is made and you won’t be in therapy forever. We want to make you feel confident and not overwhelmed giving you the exercises and answers you need so progress is made. Sessions will provide informative care and a weekly follow up to ensure the treatment plan matches your child needs.

Rooted in Purpose,

Driven by Results

We believe that parent/caregiver involvement is the key to success. Rooted Ranch OT provides extensive education so you feel confident implementing weekly strategies with your child.

We begin with an occupational therapy evaluation, using both standardized assessments and clinical observation to provide a detailed plan that is easy to follow.

Once the evaluation is complete, interventions are implemented to progress toward relevant goals and independence. We want you to feel confident to implement the activities and strategies. The more involvement from the parent/caregiver, the greater success your child will have in therapy, with less visits.

Intermittently, we offer mini treatment sessions to tailor interventions, answer questions and refine activities. We want you to be successful and eating with ease.

As much as we love the families we work with—our goal is discharge.
